Have you ever heard of “cloud chasing” before? Chances are, you haven’t. But if you have, you may want to skip reading this entirely.
Cloud chasing is the competitive form of vaporizing in which contestants compete against one another to blow the best clouds of vapor. Huge big of a cloud can you and your vape mod produce? What tricks can you do? If these concepts of showmanship are for you, then cloud chasing competitions might be right up your alley.
While this might not sound all that extreme nor resemble a real sport to many onlookers, the Wall Street Journal begs to differ as they refer to not only as extreme and not only sport, but as an “extreme sport.”
In these types of competitions, competitors inhale vapor from their vaporizers and then exhale it in an attempt to blow the largest and densest clouds they can. The winner, of course, is the contestant who manages to blow the biggest, densest clouds. All hail the king of the cloud, the cloud chasing champion.
If this sounds like a joke to you, there’s a good chance you’re not alone, however, there are those who, as surprising as it may seem to some, take the sport quite seriously. As Gizmodo reports, cloud chasing competitions are complete with their own judges, sponsors, and even spectators. That’s right folks, there are actually people who attend cloud chasing competitions for the joy of watching others blow massive clouds of vapor.
