San Francisco, California-based vaporizer manufacturer Pax Labs has unveiled three new limited edition Pax Era and Pax 3 vaporizer kits boasting laser-engraved designs that come as a result of the vape manufacturer’s collaborations with three leading artists.
These three artists are muralist Apexer, painter and printmaker Casey Gray, and designer/illustrator Jayde Fish. Each of these artists created their own original sketches for the collaboration, which Pax then took and etched onto their vapes to create some truly captivating new designs for some of their most popular vaping products.
Pax Era is a portable vape designed for concentrates. It works with the company’s “pods,” which are prefilled concentrate cartridges designed specifically for the company’s Era vaporizers.
Pax 3 is a portable vaporizer designed for dry blends that also works with concentrates thanks to its extract insert. It’s the latest version of the company’s popular line of portable Pax vaporizers, which build upon the original, the Pax 1 vaporizer.
The limited edition Pax 3 kits, at the time of their release, had a retail price tag of $269.99 (USD). The device itself, without the kit, was set at $219.99 at the time of release.
As for the Era, the limited edition artist collaboration Pax Era had a retail price of $39.99 at the time of its release.
The company’s general manager, J.J. O’Brien, indicated in a statement that the company is “thrilled to offer these beautifully-crafted custom designs just in time for holiday gifting.”

Contemporary artist Casey Gray is known for his painting, mural work, illustration, and occasional printmaking. The engraving design that he created for his collaboration with Pax Labs is titled “Still Life of Flowers.” If we were to use two words to describe it, those two words would be psychedelic and flowers.
Apexer, who also goes by Ricardo Richey, has created vibrant murals across the United States, spanning from California to New York and beyond. In fact, he’s even created murals as far away from home as St. Petersburg, Russia. For those of us here at Vaporizer Wire, who are admittedly big fans of Apexer’s work, it’s his work at the GoDaddy headquarters that has really caught our eye – an impressive piece he did back in 2014 that we find reminiscent of a tunnel of sunlight or a volcano’s entrance.
As for Jayde Fish, who was featured in Gucci’s SS 2017 runway show following Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele’s discovery of her work on social network Instagram, her “Scrimshaw” design found its inspiration in stories carved into the bone of whales and slabs of ivory by sailors at sea who sent their carvings back home to their loved ones.
