After United States soldiers stationed at Fort Bragg and marines stationed at Camp Lejeune reported adverse health effects that may have been caused by vaping alleged CBD oils, the U.S. Army Public Health Center issued a warning to troops over the potential dangers of vaping with e-cigarettes and other vape products.

Officials were quoted by the Fayetteville Observer as having said that while “pure CBD oil has not yet been associated with adverse health effects, CBD vape oils most likely contain synthetic cannabinoids, concentrated tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and/or other hazardous compounds in addition to, or in place of, CBD oil.”

In other words, it may not be CBD that’s causing the health concerns in troops, but rather something else contained within the blends they’re vaping.

Soldiers are prohibited from using such products.

How many service members were affected? Approximately 60, according to officials. All of whom reportedly suffered potentially serious medical problems following their use of electronic cigarettes and other types of vaporizers.
