According to the findings of a new study led by Georgetown Lombardi professor of oncology David Levy, PhD, replacing cigarette smoking with vaping would result in the world’s smoking population living significantly longer. How long exactly? According to their research, 86.7 million years longer, to be precise.

The study, which was conducted by a team of cancer researchers at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, was published in the international tobacco abuse journal Tobacco Control.

It marks the first study of its kind, a study aimed at assessing the health implications of a major switch from smoking to vaping.

According to Levy, who was quoted by Salon.com, “there would be tremendous health benefits including reduced disease disability to smokers, reduced pain and suffering, and reduced exposure to secondhand smoke,” or in other words, it’s time for the world to quit smoking tobacco and start vaping it instead.

“In addition, there would be tremendous health benefits including reduced disease disability to smokers, reduced pain and suffering, and reduced exposure to secondhand smoke”

Do you agree with their analysis, would the world’s population of tobacco smokers live that much longer if they all quit smoking and started vaporizing instead?
