Vaper Empire E-Liquids

A vape shop in Medford, Oregon was robbed for what co-owner Derek Van Horn believes to have been $6,000 to $8,000 worth of vaping supplies. In addition, they estimate that their business incurred approximately $800 in damages as a result of the break-in which left the front door of the shop damaged.

The shop, Vape Guys Vapor, was robbed on the morning of January 14, 2018. According to Van Horn, a motion-activated security camera installed inside of the shop began to send him alerts the night of the incident just after midnight, however, he didn’t wake up and see them until 4 a.m., at which point he called the authorities who he says responded within a few minutes.

By the time local authorities arrived at the scene of the crime, the suspect had already fled.

In regards to the security camera footage, Van Horn told ABC 12 that he opened the first alert and saw “the guy rummaging through everything.”

By his account, he thinks that the suspect may have been listening to a police scanner because he left shortly after he called the authorities to report the crime.

The suspect stole cash out of the register as well as vaping supplies, including the tops and bottoms of vapes as well as coils and e-liquids.

Local authorities, the Medford Police Department, have indicated that burglaries in the area have increased by 6.5 percent and that theft in the area has increased by 18.3 percent.

Vape Guys Vapors, which has a 5-star rating in Google reviews, is located at 1024 Court Street Suite D in Medford, Oregon. In addition to being a local brick-and-mortar vaporizer store, they’re also an online retailer of vape products. They’re open 7 days a week from the hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and for those who prefer to shop online, they currently offer free shipping on all orders over $50 (USD).

Van horn was quoted by local NBC news affiliate KOBI-TV as having said that the break-in is “heartbreaking.”

“It’s heartbreaking. I mean, every challenge that we face we just get stronger or we fail (…) But that’s not an option for me so I’m just gonna grow from this and get stronger.”

Theirs is by no means the only U.S. vape shop robbed in recent times, as we’ve now reported on quite a few incidents in which vape shops have been burglarized or robbed. In Indiana, a local vape shop in Franklin, All Day Vapes, was burglarized by two suspects who were caught on security camera rummaging through the store’s inventory.
