One of the many vaporizer websites that we track, a site by the name of VapeGuide.co, has undergone a rebranding effort and is now named VapeGuide.com, which is a name that quite obviously correlates with its newly acquired domain name. Prior to this change, the site went by VapeGuide.co, a nod to its “.co” domain extension. Now, with its newly acquired “.com” variant of the domain, the site is ready to kick things off under its new name and that’s just what it’s done.
Discussing the matter with the site’s owner who has opted to stay anonymous at this time, we were told by email that the new domain name that the site is using was acquired after it expired. Or in other words, the domain’s previous owner did not renew their registration, which allowed another party to go ahead and register it after it expired. In this case, that other party was VapeGuide.co’s owner, who has subsequently opted to transfer the site over to the new domain while undergoing a rebranding effort.
For those who keep up to date with our vape news updates here at VaporizerWire.com, the existence of this particular vaporizer site should come as no surprise as we reported on them as far back as February of this year. In our initial coverage of their site, we discussed their background and mission. The latter part, their mission, is fairly straight forward: “to test, rate, review, and compare vaporizers in order to determine the best vaporizers for every occasion.” This quoted text is, for reference, derived from the “About” page of their website.
Their Background
VapeGuide.com, which is how we’ll refer to them from here on out, was launched within the past year. Their mission, as stated above, is to test vaporizers and to share their findings – a mission that they’re actively engaged in. At this time, they have numerous vaporizers reviewed on their site. Since last we looked, they’ve added a number of new vaporizer reviews, which include the Hot Box Vaporizer, the V-Tower by Arizer, the Cloud Vaporizer, the Trippy Stix essential oil vape pen, and more. With their dedication to reviewing vaporizers, both old and new, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to find us covering their site once again. Why? Because VapeGuide.com means business and when it comes to the business of vaporizers, we can’t help but cover it because after all, that’s what we do here at Vaporizer Wire – we cover vape news.
To offer a little background on these products we just mentioned, the Hot Box is a desktop vape with a simple, but appealing appearance. It comes in a lot of different colors and patterns, but only one shape – a cube. This little cube of vaporization was popular back in the day, but these days, there are just so many vapes to choose from, it’s not hard to see why it has diminished in popularity. Still, for a desktop vaporizer, its appearance is a plus as we can easily see how there are those out there who wouldn’t mind having one resting on their desk.
Then there’s the V-Tower, which is sort of like the original Extreme Q. This Arizer vaporizer, while not new, is still a worthwhile device in our eyes, in part due to its low cost but also its ability to produce vapor like you might expect from Arizer. The company that makes it, Arizer, is a Canada-based vaporizer manufacturer that has become well known in the vaping scene for its Arizer Solo, a portable vaporizer that works very well, and its Extreme Q. The latter being a surprisingly inexpensive plugin unit that offers the whip and balloon experience.
The Cloud Vaporizer that we mentioned, to clarify, is the Cloud V vape pen by California’s Cloud V Enterprises. Compact, inexpensive, and impressive are just a few of the words VapeGuide.com uses to describe the Cloud V in their review.
Then there’s the Trippy Stix vaporizer, which some refer to as the “TrippyStix.” This little vape is designed to vape liquids so if you’re in the market for a liquid vaporizer, you may want to check this one out.
Now More Secure
Browsing their new site, we couldn’t help but notice that they’re now using SSL to deliver their data to visitors. What this means is that the site is now that much more secure, as it was previously not using SSL. How do we know this? Because we can see it in the web-browser address bar. Notice that “HTTPS” and in some cases, the green “Secure” label? That’s SSL, which is an acronym for secure socket layers. Digicert.com defines SSL as “a standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a server and a client—typically a web server”. With that said, those visiting can rest assured that their web browsing sessions are encrypted. Now, while we’re not looking too deep into this, it is a nice improvement — one of many that the site has made since we last checked up on them — that some of you can surely appreciate.
