What Is In A Juul Pod?

Vaper Empire E-Liquids

Wondering what’s in a Juul Pod and how their formula differs from other e-juice blends? We have the answers for you, well, most of them.

While we can’t speak to what exactly makes Juul’s proprietary blend unique from all others, we can tell you what’s in it — or at least, what its manufacturer, Juul Labs, lists for ingredients.

What Do Juul Pods Have In Them?

Here’s what it is in a Juul pod:

  • Glycerol
  • Propylene Glycol
  • Benzoic Acid
  • Nicotine
  • Natural Oils
  • Extracts
  • Flavor

What exactly they mean by natural oils, flavor, and extracts may vary from blend to blend as the company offers a variety of flavors to consumers.

As for the glycerol and propylene glycol, both are commonly used in e-juices to reduce the loss of moisture. The two humectants are also found in consumer products such as toothpaste. And the benzoic acid is found naturally occurring in tobacco plants. By Juul Labs’ account, it’s part of what makes Juuling “the ultimate vaping experience.”

How Much Nicotine Is In A Juul Pod?

A single Juul pod contains 0.7 milliliters of nicotine with 5 percent nicotine by weight. This translates into 59 milligrams of nicotine per milliliter of juice. By Juul Labs’ account, this is the equivalent of approximately 1 pack of cigarettes per pod in terms of nicotine.

As for the nicotine itself, while some e-juice manufacturers use freebase nicotine, which is not found naturally occurring in tobacco leaves, Juul Labs uses nicotine salts, which are found in tobacco leaves.

Juul pods are not currently available in nicotine free flavors.
