The Create-A-Cig shop, a local vape store in Hammond, Louisiana, was reportedly robbed for over $1,000 worth of merchandise by two young men who have been identified as 17-year-old Jason Paul Shelton and 18-year-old Michael Freeman of Walker.

The alleged robbery was captured on internal surveillance video and purports to show the young burglars shooting their way into the store.

Video released of the brazen robbery shows that the burglary took place on December 27 in the wee early morning hours just after 3:00 a.m.

After reviewing the footage, it appears as if the burglars fired a single shot through the store’s front door to shatter the glass before stepping through it, running inside, and then shooting the shop’s glass display cases and piling the stolen merchandise into a couple of bags before fleeing the scene of the crime.

The information contained in this report is based on a release from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office that was reported by local Louisiana news outlet The Advocate.

According to Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies, some of the merchandise stolen in the break in was recovered during the course of their investigation.

This is by no means the only vape shop that’s been robbed in recent times. It wasn’t long ago that we reported on the robbery of a vape shop in Indiana, All Day Vapes, which was also robbed by two suspects.
