How To Make Your Own Iced E-Juice
Don’t be confused by what this guide is about, we’re not talking about adding ice cubes to your e-liquid or putting it in the freezer to cool it. No, that’s not at all what this about. What this guide is about is adding menthol to non-menthol e-liquid to transform it into an iced flavor. Here is what you need:
- Menthol e-liquid
- A non-menthol e-liquid
For example, you can take your favorite fruit flavored e-liquid, such as Mango, and add some menthol vape juice to it.
You don’t actually need any special supplies like mixing containers or syringes to get the measurements exact. All you actually need is a vape tank to put the two e-juices in. That’s it. If you prefer to mix your e-juice in an e-liquid bottle, you can actually find empty e-liquid bottles that work for this purpose on Amazon.
The first step, although you can do this in reverse if you want, is to add the non-menthol e-juice to your tank. You can also use an empty e-juice bottle if you want, which you can buy from a number of vape stores that sell DIY mixing kits for home e-liquid creation.
Once you’ve added your flavored e-juice, assuming you’ve left a little room in the tank for the menthol, go ahead and add your menthol e-juice. Try just adding a drop or two to see what it tastes like before adding more. Give it a mix by shaking the tank once it’s sealed shut and then attach it to your vape battery and start vaping.
If there’s not enough icy chill to the vapor, try adding some more menthol until it tastes right to you.
Which Menthol E-Liquid To Use

Vape Juice Flavors That Pair Well With Menthol
Here are some flavors that work well when mixed with menthol to create iced e-juice that you may want to try:
- Watermelon
- Apple
- Blueberry (or any berry)
- Banana
- Tobacco
- Grape
- Fruit Punch
- Sour Apple
- Lemonade
- Orange Soda
You might also try mixing multiple flavors together and then adding some menthol once you’ve found the right combination. This is a good way to create an all-new flavor without all of the effort of buying all of the different base ingredients like PG and VG to mix it from scratch.
Pay Attention To Nicotine Strength
When you’re mixing up a batch of your own custom e-juice using the method we’ve described in this guide, be sure to pay attention to the nicotine strength of the different bottles that you’re using. This way, you won’t be surprised by the strength. If you both bottles have the same strength then they will mix well with another without altering the nicotine strength, which means you won’t have to do any calculations to figure out what strength e-juice you’re vaping.
Menthol Tobacco Vape Juice
If you used to smoke menthol cigarettes and you still long for their cool taste, you might try finding a good tobacco e-liquid, of which there are very many, and combining it with the menthol of your choice. This will allow you to create that menthol tobacco taste without the tar-laden smoke.
There are a lot of different tobacco flavors that will work if you’re trying to create a menthol tobacco, otherwise known as iced tobacco. You can use Whole Leaf, RY4, and any others that you find taste good.
You Don’t Have To Make Your Own Ice Flavors
For the lazy vapers and those who just don’t care enough to customize their e-liquid by adding other flavors to it, there are a lot of e-liquid manufacturers that sell ice flavors. You can buy them bottled, in pods, and in carts. There’s no need for mixing, you just drop them in your tank and begin vaping.
