The Downside To Vaping With Nic Salts

Vaper Empire E-Liquids

Nicotine salts have been engineered by scientists to be essentially superior to freebase nicotine when it comes to their use in vaping products. They’re smoother, which allows for the creation of higher strength e-liquids, and they’re subjectively better tasting. So what’s the downside?

The Downside To Nic Salts

With all the benefits that nic salts offer in comparison to freebase nicotine, the one downside remains their cost. As nic salts are no longer new to the world of vaping, there are those who have raised concerns over their cost, which remains high.

Early pod vapes like the Juul helped popularize nic salts in the world of vaping over five years ago. Since then, many pod systems with prefilled pods come infused with nic salt e-liquid. On top of this, there are countless bottles of nic salt e-juice sold each year. Clearly, nicotine salt vape juice has become quite popular, so why the high cost?

Why Nic Salt E-Liquid Prices Remain High

According to one assessment, the high cost may be the result of the vape industry trying to keep the price of nic salt vaping products steady after watching the price of bottled e-liquids drop like a rock over the years.

So while low-cost e-liquid is good for consumers, the opposite is true for manufacturers and retailers. This, in itself, might be at the heart of why nic salt e-juice prices remain relatively high all these years later.

Nic Salts Are Still Worth Buying

This writer has found nicotine salt e-liquids to taste better and deliver a better throat hit. On top of this, there’s the added benefit of being available in higher strengths, such as 50mg/ml. Vapers who want high strength e-liquids will continue to benefit from buying e-liquids made with nic salts so long as they can stomach the cost.
