New vape pens are a dime a dozen is what we would say if the new V-Nix Series vape pen from Vaper Empire wasn’t a stellar little device with features that we actually appreciate. In a lot of ways, it looks like your average vape, however, when you peer a bit closer you may notice some features that surprise you, like the little dust cap for the mouthpiece that we’re surprised isn’t a feature that every vape has. After all, when you’re tucking your e-cig in your pocket you’re almost bound to get some lint on it and who wants to put that lint in their mouth when they go to take a quick puff? But it’s not just the little features like the dust cap for the mouthpiece that make the V-Nix an excellent choice for your first or next vape pen, it’s the bigger things that are hard to ignore, like variable wattage, adjustable airflow, and high-quality coils.
In this V-Nix review, we’re going to explain why we love this little vape and why we think it’s a great starter vape for beginners that seasoned vapers like ourselves may also find a deep appreciation for after using it.
Features That You Let Personalize Your Vapor
A lot of new vapes have either wattage or voltage adjustments. Some let you choose any setting between a certain range and others have a number of preset settings to choose from. In this case, it’s three preset settings that start at 10.5W and end at 13.5W. The only odd aspect of changing the wattage is that the vape actually needs to be turned off. Most vapes we’ve used that have this feature let you change the wattage while the unit is on so we found that slightly strange but it’s not of any real concern, just a bit odd in terms of functionality. So you press the button three times and the device is off. Then you hold the button and it’ll cycle through the wattages. To tell which setting you’re on, just glance at the LED. If it shows the first light, it’s 10.5W; if it shows the second, then it’s 12W; if it’s the third light, then it’s 13.5W.

Easy to use? Yup. As for why we like this feature, it’s simple: you can choose a setting that works well with your vape juice and your preference. If you like thick vape and don’t mind it being a little warm then you can use the highest setting. If you want a cool vape that’s lighter and smoother then you can use the lower settings. Frankly, this is something that all vapes should let you do but it’s not so we give Vaper Empire two thumbs up for including this feature in their new pen.
Beyond the wattage control, there’s also another feature that we really like and that’s the airflow adjustment that’s attached to the top of the battery. Normally, we see this feature on the bottom of the tank but it works just the same, allowing you to control how much air is flowing into the tank and out of the mouthpiece. Tightening it up makes the vapor really thick and warm and loosening it allows a lot of air to enter, which makes the vapor light and cool.
When you combine these controls for airflow and wattage, what you get is the ability to personalize the vapor. You can make it denser, you can make it lighter, and you can make it cooler or warmer. If you know anything about controlling the throat hit of your vape then these two features likely stand out to you because they allow you to calibrate the throat hit of your vapor. If you want to feel a strong throat hit then you restrict the airflow and increase the wattage. For a gentler throat hit, you do the reverse.
Pass-Through Charging For Endless Vape Sessions
Having to wait for your vape battery to charge before you can use it is a thing of the past with the V-Nix’s pass-through charging. While the battery should last you more than an entire day between charges, you might find a time when you forget to charge it, go to use it, and realize that the battery is too depleted to muster the strength to pump out any vapor. Thankfully, all you have to do is plug the micro-USB cord in and you can continue using it while you simultaneously recharge the battery. This is definitely a nice little feature to have in a vape.
Recharges Pretty Fast
First of all, you would be wise not to let ever let your battery become fully drained. When it gets low, that’s when you charge it. This will help prolong the life of the battery. That said, the charge time on the V-Nix is about an hour, which isn’t bad at all. That’s assuming that it is completely dead. If you wait until it’s around 20% battery life, you can expect it to recharge in well under an hour.
The Vapor Is Nice & Strong
Having a weak vape sucks. Well, unless you like weak hits. Fortunately for everyone else, the V-Nix is not a weak vape. It might be small but its vapor is smooth and strong on the highest wattage setting (13.5W). While it is warm on the highest setting, it’s not hot. Definitely, a comfortable vape even when the wattage is cranked up and the vapor is thick. If you want it cooler and even smoother, you can always turn the wattage down and open the airflow valve to let more ambient air in.
For the most pronounced flavor, you will want to use the highest wattage setting and tighten up the airflow a bit to get a nice strong hit.
Works Great With Various E-Liquids
Thanks to the design, the V-Nix works well with different e-liquids from different manufacturers. You can use Vaper Empire’s e-liquid, which is what it’s designed for, or you can use whatever vape juice you prefer to use. It will handle just about all of them and do so very well because of its wattage and airflow adjustments. Well, that and the dual-coil atomizer, which goes a long way towards vapor perfection when done right, and this one is definitely done right.
The Tank Is Perfect
We’ve come across a lot of new pen vapes with giant tanks that aren’t all that compact. Yeah, they hold a lot of vape juice, but they also take up a lot of space in your pocket or purse. The V-Nix is small, its tank is fairly compact, however, it still manages to hold 2ml of e-liquid. For us, this proved to be enough space to last about two days and that’s plenty if you ask us.
The other aspect of the tank that we really like is the little windows on the side that let you peek inside it and see how much e-liquid you have left without having to open it. This is a somewhat common feature but still a nice touch.
It uses replaceable 1.5ohm coils so you can keep using the tank over and over just by replacing the coils when they’re burned out. If you haven’t replaced coils before, don’t worry because we’re talking about building coils from scratch here, you’re literally just taking the old one out and popping a new one in, and it’s very easy to do.
Worth Buying
Beginner vapers are going to love this vape pen because there’s nothing difficult about using it. You fill the tank, wait a little bit for the e-liquid to be absorbed, and then turn it on and hold the fire button to start vaping. That’s it. Just one button to control the entire pen.
