How Many E-Liquid Flavors & Vape Brands Are There?

People have wondered just how many different flavors of e-liquid there are and how many vape brands exist at this point. While we don’t have an exact answer to this question, a study that came out of the University of California San Diego found that by January 2014 there were over 450 vape brands with their own websites and over 7,760 unique e-liquid flavors.

The researchers found that there were 10.5 new brands per month and just over 240 new vape juice flavors per month over the course of 17 months. THey also found that newer brands were more apt to offer more flavors per brand than older brands.

In conclusion, the researchers wrote that the number of e-cig brands is large and increasing and that newer brands offer more flavors and versatility when it comes to products.

As years have gone by since the study was conducted, it seems likely that the number of e-liquid flavors that are on the market now far exceeds the number that was available in 2014.

Taking a look at one of the United Kingdom’s largest online vape stores, we see over 1,500 e-liquid flavors and that’s just one shop. While this particular shop clearly carries a large number of brands, they do not carry all of the e-liquid brands that are out there and by no means all of the flavors that are out there.
