Vapes and vaporizers can mean the same thing, but that’s not always the case. Learn the differences and similarities in this guide.
What Is A Vape?
Vape can mean a number of things. When it’s time to use a vaporizer, you might say that it’s time to vape. But vape also refers to a vaping device, such as an electronic cigarette (e-cigarette), herbal vaporizer, vape pen, or vape mod. There are many different types of vaping devices, which are often referred to as vapes, but also as vaping hardware. What all vapes have in common is that they produce vapor. In some cases, this vapor is technically an aerosol, however, it is still referred to as vapor. Another use of the word vape pertains to what goes into a vaporizer, such as e-juice. For that matter, e-juice is also known as e-liquid and vape juice.
What Is A Vaporizer?
E-cigs, vape pens, and herbal vaporizers are all vaporizers. Vape is sometimes used as the short form of vaporizer. However, in the minds of some, vaporizers that are designed to work with e-liquid, such as e-cigarettes, are known as vapes, not vaporizers.
Often times, the term vaporizer is used in reference to herbal vaporizers, although these too are sometimes known as herbal vapes.
