In Canada, the federal government has already established a limit on the concentration of nicotine that can be used in e-liquids sold within the country. While the limit is currently 66mg/ml, which is undoubtedly quite high, the government is now proposing a lower limit of 20mg/ml, which is quite low.
While the proposed limit would impact the sale of e-liquids sold locally across the nation, Canadian e-liquid manufacturers operating within the country would still be allowed to manufacture higher strength e-liquids to sell internationally.
Health Canada is currently consulting on the proposed nicotine concentration limit for vaping products and will continue to do so until March 4, 2021.

The Vaping Industry Trade Association, one of Canada’s vape industry trade groups, has opposed the nicotine limit.
For now, the Canadian public has the opportunity to submit comments on the matter to Health Canada.
There is still a chance that the proposed limit could be revised prior to implementation.
