Pax 2 VS Pax 3 Search Trend Analysis

Vaper Empire E-Liquids

The Pax Vaporizer by Ploom, which is now made by Pax Labs, has undergone its fair share of changes over the years since it was first unveiled to the public. These days, the latest versions of the popular portable vape are known as the Pax 2 and the Pax 3, which mark the second and third in the succession.

As the original, the Pax 1 (as some now refer to it), has been discontinued, we’ve excluded it from this analysis. What follows is Vaporizer Wire’s analysis of Google Trends data pertaining to the following search terms:

  • Pax 2
  • Pax 3

It is perhaps worth noting that not all of the queries for these keywords made by users were made with the intent of searching for information pertaining to the vaporizers that the queries correspond with.

Pax 2 VS Pax 3 Search Trend Graph

The first big spike we see for the Pax 2, which correlates with the red line seen in the graph above, takes place during the week of March 8 – March 14, 2018. From there, search interest continues to rise up until the week of December 20 – December 26, 2015, after which point it begins to slowly decline.

The Pax 2 was officially released on March 10, 2015.

Search queries for Pax 3 appear to pickup in October of 2016 and then spike suddenly the following month in November. From there on, continuing somewhat steadily with increased interest in comparison to months and years prior.

The Pax 3 was officially released in November of 2016.

While what we’ve noted here is indicative of sudden increases in product interest around the time of product release, what is perhaps particularly interesting is that the Pax 3 never reaches the same height of popularity that the Pax 2 reaches at its peak. So while the Pax 3 is now more popular than the Pax 2 based on this Google Trends data, the Pax 2 was more popular at the height of its popularity than the Pax 3 ever was. And although the Pax 3 is now available, search interest in its predecessor, the Pax 2, remains strong.
