When it comes to washing a vape pen, it is possible but there are some things that you’ll want to know.
Washing A Vape Pen
For starters, you’ll want to take into account the fact that a vaporizer is an electronic device and electronics, generally speaking, don’t mix well with water. That said, it is possible to wash a vape pen, even advisable, but one must be careful when doing so as water in the wrong place can easily damage electronic devices and vaporizers are certainly no exception. Subsequently, we strongly advise against soaking a fully assembled vape pen in water as such exposure could damage the vaporizer and not only that, it could also prove to be hazardous to one’s health. With that warning out of the way, here are the basics of cleaning a vape pen.
Step-By-Step Cleaning Tutorial:
- The first step is to take a damp cloth (lightly moistened with water and possibly a very small amount of gentle soap) and use it to wipe down the outside of the vape. Give it a bit of elbow grease if necessary and rub out any stains or blemishes as you wipe away the grime. Only use this cleaning method for the exterior of the vape and make sure to avoid getting any electronic components wet. You may want to avoid using any water or soap for that reason and just resort to an ordinary cleaning cloth to wipe down the outside of the vape.
- Disconnect the atomizer/tank/cartridge from the battery.
- If the atomizer’s manufacturer suggests it, rinse or soak the atomizer in warm water. Often times, you’ll want to avoid using any soap. Just a bit of warm water will usually do the trick. Allow it time to soak and then rinse it off.
- Thoroughly dry the atomizer before reattaching it to the battery. This may require overnight drying and disassembly of the atomizer itself. Make absolutely sure that it’s 100% dry before reconnecting it to the battery.
Assuming all of the components are completely dry, the vape should now be clean and ready for use – assuming the instructions above were properly followed.
In a general sense, when cleaning a vaporizer, it is likely best to follow any instructions and adhere to any warnings outlined by the product’s manufacturer.
