Nerudia Acquisition: Imperial Brands Buys Vaping Services Company

Vaper Empire E-Liquids

The Nerudia vaping company, which was launched in 2013, has been purchased by the Imperial Brands tobacco company based out of Bristol, United Kingdom.

Nerudia doesn’t make vaporizers or juices, but they do serve the companies that do with support that helps them bring quality products to market. And part of this support that helps vape companies successfully launch their products is aiding in the regulatory necessities of today’s age, an age in which federal government agencies are closely watching and regulating the industry.

In light of its acquisition, Nerudia is now owned by Fontem Ventures, which is a part of the Imperial Brands portfolio.

The company was first launched by Chris Lord and David Newns, two industry veterans that have been working in the e-cig space since 2008. The pair is behind the CN Creative company that spawned the Intellicig brand of electronic cigarettes.

A spokesperson for Imperial was quoted by Bloomberg as having confirmed the acquisition in stating that they’re “delighted to confirm an acquisition which significantly enhances our innovation capabilities in the next generation products sector,” Reuters reported.

“Nerudia is a young and dynamic business and we’re delighted to confirm an acquisition which significantly enhances our innovation capabilities in the next generation products sector”

According to a page on Nerudia’s company website, their “vision is to be the best nicotine containing products and services group” on the planet.
