Squonk Vaping History & Explanation
In vaping terms, squonk mods are bottom fed vape mods, also known as bottom feeders. This relatively new concept was first introduced to market in the form of the Juicebox vaporizer. Today, the design concept is employed by a number of vapes by various manufacturers.
With a squonk mod, the vape juice (e-liquid) is fed into the rebuildable tank atomizer (RTA) from the bottom. In some cases, the user squeezes the bottle of juice to push it up into the RDA. The vacuum created will suck the excess e-juice back down into the bottle once the user lets go of the bottle.
During this process of injecting juice into the atomizer, the juice travels through a hollow 510 center pin to reach the atomizer.
Before squonking was introduced, vapers would drip juice onto their coils to wet their wicks. But with squonk vaping, a quick squeeze of the bottle is all it takes to wet the wicks with some juice.
