Have you ever spotted someone vaping cannabis in a public space? Well, you’re not the only one, but if you happened to think that it was unacceptable, you may actually be in the minority — or so the findings of a new survey conducted by Detox.net show.
According to the survey’s findings, in which Detox.net questioned over 1,000 adults ages 18 to 78, the majority of those surveyed found that vaping marijuana in a public space to be mostly acceptable. However, there are some areas in particular where those surveyed took issue with the use of vaporizers to puff pot.
No Go Zones
The three areas in particular where those surveyed found it to be unacceptable to vape weed are as follows:
- While using public transportation (88%)
- In a work bathroom (87%)
- In a restaurant (84%)
So if you’re on a bus, at work using the restroom, or out at dinner, most folks would prefer that you didn’t use your vape to puff on some cannabis.
Over 83% of the survey’s participants indicated that they thought it was unacceptable to vape pot in those places.
The other three areas where most folks would prefer you didn’t use your vape with weed are:
- In an outdoor smoking area at work (56%)
- In a bar (57%)
- In a car (52%)
Now while most would prefer you didn’t vape weed while inside of a bar, most found it acceptable outside of a bar.
Where It’s Cool
In addition to outside of bars, there are also a number of other public spaces that the survey’s participants did not take issue with the use of weed vapes in and those are as follows:
- In a public park
- On the street
- Outside of a restaurant
