Blu E-Cig Lights Up, But Doesn’t Produce Vapor? Here’s Why And How To Fix It

Vaper Empire E-Liquids

If you’ve run into this issue, there’s a chance that you’ve freaked out as a result. No nicotine infused vapor? Time to freak out. But wait, there’s a fix, although it might not work.

Before we get into how to fix this issue, we’re going to first explain one of the reasons why it might be happening. While it could be that the Blu battery is simply defective, there’s a chance that the threads inside of it are simply too dirty to establish a connection with the attachment, which is likely a Blu brand e-juice cartridge.

Something as simple as pocket lint or dirt can get into the threads, preventing a connection from being established. Subsequently, the light on the end of the e-cig might light up, but no vapor is produced. In order to fix this issue, simply clean the threads to the best of your ability.

How To Clean The Blu E-Cig Battery

The manufacturer, Blu, recommends using a q-tip to clean inside of the battery’s threaded area. They don’t recommend wetting it, which may be due to the fact that electronics don’t generally mix well with water. Subsequently, we recommend adhering to their instructions and sticking with a dry q-tip when it comes time to clean the Blu battery.

Using the q-tip, get in there and spin it around a bit, running it along the inside of the battery in a bid to get in between the threads and clean them out, clearing out any debris or residue that may have accumulated for whatever reason.

If your threads are dirty, you should notice that the q-tip is no longer completely white. If you see any kind of contaminant on it, be dirt or what have you, there’s a chance that your battery has in fact stopped working because of whatever is built up in between the threads.

Can’t Seem To Clean It?

In some cases, the residue may be too much to clean. If this proves to be the case, it may be time to purchase a new battery.

  1. I’m extremely upset! Bought two of these and cleaned them both with a flashlight; they are clean. Won’t heat up or light up? Why? What am I doing wrong?
Also, Blu owes me a box of pods only two were in my order. I was suppose to get three. No email, not a word. I guess I will stop payment on one since Blu refuses to acknowledge me 😡
