The DaVinci Vaporizer company has released a new portable vaporizer designed for dry herbs. This new vaporizer, the Miqro, is essentially a slimmed down version of the company’s popular IQ Vaporizer.
Smaller & Less Expensive
Not only is it 33% smaller than the IQ, it’s also considerably less expensive. With a retail price tag of $149 (USD), the new Miqro vape costs roughly $125 less than its predecessor, the IQ.
As for its exact dimensions, the Miqro measures in at 1.34″ wide, 3.13″ tall, and 0.91″ deep.
A New Battery
While the battery is designed to be recharged and replaced, just like we saw with the IQ, it’s not the regular old 18650 battery used in the IQ. Instead, this time around, the folks at DaVinci went with the 18350 battery, which takes between 1.5 and 2 hours to fully recharge.
Although smaller, these new batteries used in the Miqro are unquestionably powerful, capable of powering up the Miqro’s oven to 370 degrees Fahrenheit in just 39 seconds, and all the way up to 430 degrees Fahrenheit — its maximum vaping temperature.
Goodbye Flavor Chamber
The IQ’s Flavor Chamber, a feature that some users seemed to disregard, has been axed from the Miqro’s design. For those who maintain a deep appreciation for this feature and simply cannot buy a vape without it, the IQ is still for sale.
Bowl Size Matters
For those who want to pack a full bowl, the Miqro has you covered. And for those who’d rather pack less, you’ll be pleased to find that you can reduce the size of the oven by 50%, allowing you to pack less while still achieving even and efficient vaporization of your herb. This feature in particular helps make the Miqro one of the better suited portables for micro-dosing, as it allows for smaller amounts of herb to be efficiently and effectively vaporized.
Smart Paths Return
The IQ’s Smart Paths feature, which allows vapers to take full control over their vape’s internal oven temperature, is back again. With the feature, vapers can choose from preprogrammed “Paths” or edit them to create their own.
These are the default Smart Paths that are preprogrammed into the Miqro vape:
- Smart Path 1 = 350ºF to 370ºF
- Smart Path 2 = 370ºF to 390ºF
- Smart Path 3 = 390ºF to 410ºF
- Smart Path 4 = 410ºF to 430ºF
Purity In Vapor
While the DaVinci Ascent, which predates both the IQ and Miqro, boasted an all glass vapor pathway, glass is known to be fragile. Which is perhaps why the company opted for a zirconium ceramic vapor path with both their IQ and Miqro vaporizers, which, like glass, is inert, but about 20 times stronger.
