Kanabo Research Announces Partnership With Jupiter Research

The Tel-Aviv, Israel-based Kanabo Research company has signed a partnership agreement with the Phoenix, Arizona-based Jupiter Research company and here’s what it means for the two companies.

Under the agreement, which was signed this March during the CannTech conference in Tel Aviv, Kanabo is now licensing Jupiter’s L9 vaporizer platform under the brand name VapePod.

Together, the two companies have already worked on fine tuning the VapePod vaporizer for medical use and Kanabo, separately, worked to get it approved as a medical device by the Israeli Ministry of Health, which we reported on previously.

Under the newly signed partnership agreement, Kanabo is now the exclusive distributor of certified VapePod vaporizers in not only Israel, but Europe, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia as well.

Jupiter vaporizers, which are sold around the world, utilize CCELL ceramic core technology. Currently, the U.S. company boasts three unique vaporizer platforms, all of which take advantage of the aforementioned CCELL technology. But now, as a result of the recently formed partnership between Jupiter and Kanabo, the two companies will be working alongside one another to research and develop the next generation of “smart” cannabis vaporizers for medical marijuana patients.

Avihu Tamir, Kanabo’s founder and CEO, referred to the partnership agreement with Jupiter Research as “an important strategic step in Kanabo’s global expansion” while noting that Jupiter Research’s “superior technology and high presence in the U.S. market” will serve in conjunction with Kanabo’s medical validation and formulation capabilities in Israel “to create a suitable infrastructure for rapid growth” that will allow for “rapid growth” and the acceleration of their entry into new markets.

The VapePod vaporizer by Kanabo received initial approval as a medical device from Israeli Ministry of Health earlier this year.
