The Pax 1 vaporizer, the original Pax by Ploom, was widely considered to be a must-see vaporizer when it first came out, but years later–fast forwarding to the present–it has trouble stacking up against its newer, more formidable competitors.
Even as it pertains to Pax Labs, makers of the Pax vaporizers, vapers have not one, but two superior vaporizers to choose from: the Pax 2 and the Pax 3.
In short, the Pax 1 just isn’t what it used to be. At the time it first came out, years ago, it definitely had its appeal: compact, battery powered, easy to use, multiple temperatures, sleek appearance. But today, that’s all pretty much standard. Which is why we want more. And we get more. Just not from the original Pax.
That said, the Pax 1 vaporizer is not a vaporizer that I recommend. There are simply too many superior vapes on the market to choose from, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise given how old and essentially outdated the original Pax is at this point.
My Suggestion
For dry herbs, I suggest taking a look at the DaVinci IQ or the more compact and modestly priced MIQRO, which is essentially a light version of the IQ that offers much of the same at a fraction of the cost.
