Initial Impression
When I first opened the box, I was immediately impressed with what I saw: a 14K Rose Gold plated vape pen with the accessories to match. Everything was there and not only was it all there, it looked good — really good. Shining like a Rolex, I couldn’t help but pull it out, attach a cartridge, and give it a try.
The first puff I took? Delicious. The second? Just as good.
Weeks later, I’m still 100% impressed. This is one vape that truly delivers. It’s not all looks and that’s something that caught me a little off-guard given that I’ve grown somewhat accustomed to disappointment when it comes to shiny things. I see it as somewhat of a marketing gimmick, but with the Sensi Luxury, it’s more than that. Here you have a quality device with the appearance to match and that, in my opinion, is saying a lot in a world of short-lived fads and clever marketing ploys.
Variable Voltage
Like many of the high-end vape pens and mods on today’s market, the Sensi Luxury offers vapers a variable voltage system that allows for the internal vaping temperature to be quickly adjusted. Given that it’s not only designed to work with distillates but thick concentrates as well, this actually comes in really handy and is perhaps less about preference and more about functionality.
On the lower temperatures, it vapes distillates like a champ. No problems whatsoever. And on the higher temperatures, it blazes through waxes and other thick concentrates with ease, producing some of the tastiest, full-body vapor that I’ve experienced in a vape pen, let alone a gold plated vape pen.
Gold Plated Luxury
When it comes to the gold finish, Sensi Luxury Vape Pens really go above and beyond to retain their shine. This is apparently the result of a proprietary plating system that its manufacturer uses to help ensure that the gold or silver finish withstands normal wear and tear — even under heavy use, which is exactly what this reviewer put it through (and continues to put it through).
Just a heads up, you might see some scuffs and blemishes here and there if you fail to store it properly while it’s in your pocket. For instance, if you have something else in your pocket that is in anyway abrasive, it could result in some cosmetic damage to the vape. Which is why it’s best to store it in the nice little carrying case/pouch that it comes with.
Battery Life
When it comes to battery life, the Sensi Luxury Vape Pen more than delivers.
It’s clearly a bit larger than some of its competitors, but it’s that size–the result of the larger and powerful battery that it employs–that allows it to last as long as it does.
In my case, when fully charged and under heavy daily use, it lasts for about three days before it requires a recharge. At which point, it actually recharges surprisingly quick. And given that it utilizes a standard USB connection, finding somewhere to recharge it has proven to be a non-issue.
Dab Mode
Usage with this particular vape is extremely straightforward and easy. You attach a cartridge (screws in), turn it on with five quick presses of the power button, and then you press and hold the power button to activate the heating element while you draw. When you’re done, press the power button five more times quickly and it’ll turn right off. But there’s more to it than that for those who want to vape some dabs with it.
In the case of dabs, there’s actually a dabbing feature incorporated into it that makes it a little easier to get the job done. That feature is the dab mode, which is activated with three quick presses of the power button while the device is turned on. This causes the heating element to activate, applying heat to the blend for a number of seconds before shutting off. This helps heat things up and prep the dabs for use. Does it work? Absolutely.
Final Consensus
When it comes right down to it, this is one of the best vape pens on the market. It has excellent battery life, superb vapor, low draw resistance, endless compatibility with 510 threaded accessories such as other tanks and cartridges, and it looks great. You add in variable voltage, a surprisingly reasonably price tag, and incredible ease of use and you have one of the highest quality vape pens that this vaper has ever used. Needless to say, the 14K Rose Gold plated Sensi Luxury Vape Pen has quickly become my daily vape for distillates, oils, and occasionally wax.
