The U.K. government has somewhat inadvertently admitted that vaping is healthier than smoking as their annual Stoptober campaign, which is run by Public Health England, offered a new alternative to smoking this year in its range of options it provides smokers and guess what it is? You guessed it, vaping – or to be more specific, electronic cigarettes.
This is good news for those who have long believed vaping to be a safer alternative. Not that it’s safe, just that it’s safer than smoking, or at least that’s what various studies have already concluded and now, what the U.K. government has finally admitted to the public.
While tobacco is the leading cause of preventable deaths around the world, e-cigs don’t actually contain tobacco. Instead, they contain a nicotine-laced liquid substance known as e-Liquid or e-Juice. While it doesn’t contain tobacco, the nicotine itself is not completely safe. However, as The Sun noted in a report, nicotine is not known to cause serious diseases such as cancer, which is something that one cannot say for the tobacco it’s derived from.
A relatively recent study found that most vapers in the United Kingdom who previously smoked have quit smoking. With that in mind and everything else we’ve noted in this vape news report here at VaporizerWire.com, Public Health England’s decision to include e-cigs in their list of healthier alternatives to smoking appears to be nothing short of logical.
