When it comes to vaping, some users may notice that their favorite e-juice flavors just don’t taste as good as they used to. While this could be the result of the e-juice degrading in quality over time, there’s a chance it’s the result of a condition some refer to as “vaper’s tongue.”
What Is Vaper’s Tongue?
Vaper’s tongue, or “vapor tongue” as some refer to it, is a condition in which prolonged exposure to the same flavor of vapor causes olfactory fatigue. As a result, the vaper’s ability to taste the flavor of their e-juice becomes diminished — at times, greatly so. In other words, after vaping the same flavor of e-liquid for an extended period of time, some users notice a diminishing ability to taste the flavor.
Vaper’s Tongue Remedy
The remedy is simple: don’t vape the same flavor continuously. For some vapers, this means a daily rotation consisting of at least two unique flavors. For instance, some vapers may use a fruity flavor in the mornings like mango and then switch to something a little sweeter at night, like caramel cappuccino.
Switching things up can go a long way in this regard as it will help prevent vaper’s tongue from occurring, which in turn will help ensure that vapers experience maximum enjoyment from their e-juice blends.
Awesome post, another good tip is to always make sure you’re staying hydrated. I had vapers tongue like crazy before but it turns out I just wasn’t drinking enough water. Vapor absorbs moisture from your mouth so drink up! 🙂
