Vessel Vape Pen Review

Vaper Empire E-Liquids

The new Vessel vape pen is an easy to use portable vaporizer designed to be used in conjunction with 510-threaded oil cartridges. After testing it extensively, I’ve compiled all of my thoughts on this new vape into this review.

Quality Vapor

I always like to jump straight to the point and when it comes to vape reviews, the quality of vapor is arguably the most important aspect of the review. With the new Vessel vapes, the quality of the vapor produced is only partly attributable to the quality of the pen, as unlike some vapes, these new pen vapes by Vessel don’t come with their own cartridges. Subsequently, they rely on cartridges manufactured by other companies. The upside here is that their new vape pens are all 510 compatible, which means that they’ll work with virtually any 510-threaded cartridge. With this in mind, I tested mine with a variety of different cartridges, all filled with high-quality oil, and here’s what I think: these vape pens rock.

Huge Rip Potential

With the right cartridge, preferably a CCELL cartridge, the vapor is pure bliss. On the lowest temperature setting, the hits are light, but definitely noticeable. On the middle heat setting, the vapor is just right – not too thick, not too thin. On the highest heat setting, the vapor is extremely powerful, so much so that I can hardly handle it when taking a large inhale. While I prefer to use it on the middle heat setting, I assume that some of you reading this review will prefer to use it on its highest heat setting and take huge rips to the face and so I just want to note that taking fat rips to the face is absolutely something that you can do with this vape.

The three heat/power settings that it offers are:

  • 2.8V – Low (Blue)
  • 3.2V – Medium (Yellow)
  • 3.6V – High (Magenta)

To switch between heat settings, simply click the operating button three times in quick concession and the indicator lights will change color and flash three times. The color of the indicator lights lets you know which temperature setting you’re on.

Impressive Battery Life

Vessel vape pens are powered by an internal 240 mAh battery, which lasts surprisingly long. For me, a fully charged battery typically lasts multiple days. Keep in mind, I do vape daily so that’s quite the feat. I’m sure the fact that it’s equipped with an auto-shutoff feature helps, as it automatically turns itself off after it’s been left idle for a period of time, conserving battery life while it’s not in use.

Convenient Recharging

When it does eventually come time to recharge the battery, it appears to recharge fairly quick and offers the added benefit of not having to remove the cartridge to recharge. This might not seem like much of a big deal (not having to remove the cartridge to recharge the battery), but it’s a lot less of a hassle than unscrewing the cartridge every time you want to charge the battery and screwing it back on once it’s charged. In order to accomplish this, Vessel opted for a design in which the charging port is located on the bottom of the device, allowing it to be recharged even while a cartridge is attached to the top. And thanks to the magnetic charging port that it boasts, it simply could not be easier to recharge.

Extremely Portable

When it comes to portable vaporizers, size matters. With Vessel’s vape pens, there’s no worry of whether they’ll fit into a pocket because they’re compact enough to casually slide into virtually any pocket. This is a big bonus, especially in an age where some companies still think bigger is better. With a Vessel vape pen, you have in your hand a vape that you can take with you wherever you go — it really is that compact.

Armored Connection

With most vape pens on the market today, the area where the vape battery connects to the cartridge is generally left exposed, leaving it susceptible to the possibility of being damaged. With Vessel’s new vape pen batteries, this entire area is protected by an armored sleeve of sorts that screws in around the top of the battery. A smart move on Vessel’s part given that this particular area where the threads meet is highly sensitive and a little damage could cause catastrophic failure, as I’ve experienced a number of times with other vapes. Thus far, I’ve yet to encounter a single cartridge that doesn’t work with the sleeve in place, which has allowed me to leave it on perpetually, ensuring that this sensitive area is always well protected.

Final Consensus

Vessel vape pens are well worth every dollar that they cost. They’re compact, easy to use, powerful, rugged, long-lasting, and compatible with the industry standard 510 threading, allowing it to be used with most cartridges. If you buy just one vape battery this year, do yourself a favor and buy this one. You will not be disappointed by its combination of precision craftsmanship and intelligent design.

  1. This device is not suitable for daily use. The battery is small, underpowered and requires constant charging — and that charging time takes forever. The display lights are not bright enough to be seen in daylight. Also, the device sometimes malfunctions: refusing to change between power levels, and turning itself back on when off — especially during charging.

I bought two of these devices, and both underperformed. Too expensive, too many issues — not worth it. Sure, it looks good — but having a device fail on you is not a good look.

I do not recommend this product.
