Hyde e-cigs come in a lot of different flavors but it’s their Banana Ice that this review is going to examine. So if you want to know whether Banana Ice is the right Hyde flavor for you, then this is the review you want to read.
You Definitely Notice The Banana
With Banana Ice, you are not going to not notice the banana flavor in there. It’s strong. So is the “ice” part of it, which is a cool menthol that has a lot of bite to it. If you’re not a fan of bananas, then do not buy this flavor of Hyde because you are not going to enjoy the strong banana flavor that’s infused in it.
The Menthol Is Strong
If you don’t already know, the “ice” part of e-juices implies that there’s menthol in it. Vapers who previously smoked cigarettes sometimes appreciate the menthol because it has a bite to it that’s known as throat hit. When the vapor hits the back of the throat, the menthol ensures that it’s felt. Former smokers sometimes feel compelled to use e-juices that have a strong throat hit because it reminds them of smoking.
Another reason why menthol is a nice addition to some e-liquids is due to the refreshing aspect of it. It tastes cold, in a sense. Some may even describe it as cool. So you can see where vape companies get off with calling it an “ice” flavor.
Not The Smoothest Vapor
Because of the fact that the Banana Ice Hyde has menthol in its e-liquid, it’s not really the smoothest vapor out there. This is good for some for the reasons explained above, but it’s also less than ideal for those who are looking for a really smooth vapor. Personally, I enjoy it.
Good On Occasion
This isn’t a flavor that I can vape on the daily. It’s one that I grab here and there and take a puff or two before setting it down and using something else. It’s just a bit too ridiculous, in a sense, to vape constantly. I need something a little more tame to vape regularly and that’s where something like the Golden Apple Hyde comes in, as it’s more of a laid back flavor that I can puff on regularly.
Worth Buying
Hydes are pretty cheap, which is nice if you’re not trying to get terribly invested in your vaping setup. They’re also disposable, which means you use it then toss it when it’s out of juice. I actually prefer Hydes over Juuls and can say the same for Puff Bars. Although, I do want to note that this is really a matter of personal preference for the most part. Then again, Juul just doesn’t have the flavors to choose from like they used to and Puff Bars seem a little too strong for my preference.
One of the big upsides to using a Hyde, which is true for a Puff Bar and a Juul, is that you can buy them at local vape shops all over the place. It’s a popular brand and as such there are a lot of stores that carry them. On the other hand, finding the flavor that you’re looking for might be a bit harder than you’d expect. I tend to call ahead before driving to a local shop that stocks them to make sure that they have the flavors I want in stock.
