Pax Era’s New Microdosing Feature Receives Praise From The Verge

Pax Labs recently released a software update for their Pax Era — a portable vaporizer reminiscent of a Juul e-cigarette in shape and size that’s designed for use with cannabis concentrates — that allows for what we referred to in a prior report here on VaporizerWire.com as “proper dosing.” And it’s this new dosing feature that has The Verge contributor Sarah Anne Lloyd writing that Pax Era’s “hand-holding pays off” with the latest firmware update, which introduced the new dosing feature.

By “hand-holding,” Lloyd is making reference to the Era’s design, which is one in which Pax products work only with Pax products as the Era is designed to work exclusively with Pax Era Pods — a far cry from the versatility offered by the company’s flagship product, the Pax Vaporizer, which can be used with any concentrate or dry herb.

After having tested a Pax Era provided by Pax Labs, Lloyd found that while there are various factors at play, such as strain, the dosing feature does give “some idea of what you’re in for.” So while the Era’s new dose regulating feature may not yet be perfect, it does, by Lloyd’s account, reduce your chances of showing up “a little over your head” to dinner with the family.

“…it also lessens the chance of showing up to a family dinner in a little over your head.”
