The new Puffco Plus, a portable oil vaporizer made by the same company that brought us the popular “Peak” eRig, is scheduled to begin shipping consumers tomorrow, August 3, 2018. And by new, we do mean the latest version of the Plus, which has seen a number of updates since its initial release some time ago.
Puffco describes the Plus as “the most awarded and flavorful concentrate vape pen ever,” which is quite the claim. But seeing as this is, as we just noted, the same company that brought us the Peak vaporizer, it’s not a claim that we’d be quick to dismiss. After all, the Peak is the same vaporizer that Engadget called a “quick hit of concentrated genius.”
So what’s this Puffco Plus all about?
The Puffco Plus is a compact vape pen designed for concentrates. What this doesn’t mean is that you’re limited to cartridges because you can actually load your dabs straight into its oven. In other words, if you have concentrates and you want to vape them- the Plus has got you covered.
Easy Loading
Now if you’ve ever tried to load dabs into a vape, you may already be aware of how difficult of a process this seemingly simple task can prove to be. Fortunately, Puffco knows what’s up and subsequently designed the Plus to be easy to load.
In order to accomplish this feat, easy loading of dabs, Puffco incorporated a loading tool that you can use to quickly scoop up some extracts and load them into the oven.

When you get to the “Loading” segment (begins approximately 22 seconds into the video), pay close attention because you’ll not only see how to load it, but also how easy it is to load.
Features
The Plus boasts a carb cap, loading tool, and splash guard — all of which are built directly into the mouthpiece. The dart, which is the piece that jets in and out, scooping up concentrates and delivering them to the oven, makes it easy to load and easy to clean.
The ceramic pressure-sealed bowl exhibits a coil-less design, which, according to Puffco, “evenly heats your oil instead of scorching it with coils, providing the purest flavor.”
As far as heat settings are concerned, users have three presets to choose from, which essentially offer vapers a choice between light vapor and thick clouds with a happy medium in between.
And like many of the latest vape pens on the market, the Plus has a continuous heat mode, which, in this case, provides 12 seconds of continuous heat.
