The Grasshopper Vaporizer is a portable vape pen designed to vaporize dry herbs on the go. While it’s designation by its manufacturer is that of an herbal vaporizer, some users have claimed that it works well with concentrates such as waxy blends.
In order to vaporize extracts with the Grasshopper, users have claimed to use cotton to wrap their blends, essentially creating a wick of sorts that allegedly allows them to successfully vape concentrates.
The Grasshopper vape, which is manufactured in the United States, got its start on Indiegogo, a crowdfunding website where it successfully raised over $365,000 (USD). Notably, its fundraising goal was only $100,000.

What makes the Grasshopper particularly interesting to some vapers is its take on what a vape pen entails. While some vape pens hardly resemble an actual pen, the Grasshopper looks nearly identical to a pen. By which we mean that this compact vape looks more like a writing utensil than it does a vaporizer.

The Grasshopper, which is made by Hopper Labs, boasts a temperature range of 266 to 410 degrees Fahrenheit. According to Vaporizer Shark’s review of the Grasshopper vape, it heats up in “about 5 seconds,” making it one of the fastest heating dry herb portables.
Its battery is designed to be user-replaceable and by some accounts, is capable of powering the device for about an hour before it needs to be recharged.
