This Is How Juul Labs Describes Their Juul Vaporizer

Juul Labs describes their Juul device as “an easy to use vaporizer designed for adult smokers looking for a genuine alternative to smoking.”

As it’s a battery powered portable vaporizer designed to vaporize nicotine infused e-liquid, some refer to it as an electronic cigarette.

The battery, by Juul’s account, has undergone “rigorous stress testing,” which is perhaps a comforting thought to some in this age of exploding vape batteries.

Inside of the device, hidden beneath the slick outer shell, are sophisticated electronic components that allow it to regulate the temperature, sense when you’re drawing on it, and tell you how much juice is left in the battery.

Juuls are designed to work with their own proprietary e-liquid blends, all of which contain nicotine salts (“Juulsalts”) at 5% strength. The liquid, which is not for sale in bulk at this time, is prefilled into cartridges that Juul calls “Juulpods,” or pods for short. These cartridges, or pods, are not designed to be refilled by the user. Instead, they’re to be tossed after use (once their e-juice content is depleted).

Juulpods contain the following ingredients:

Benzoic Acid
Nicotine (5%)
Extracts
Flavor
Natural Oils

Each Juulpod contains 0.7 milliliters of nicotine, which translates into the equivalent of what Juul Labs claims to be approximately one pack of traditional cigarettes. And each pod, by their account, contains 200 puffs of vapor.

Juul vaporizers are made by the San Francisco-based vape company Juul Labs, Inc., which, in a sense, is the nicotine vaping arm of the company formerly known as Ploom.

Their vaporizers are designed in the United States, but manufactured both domestically as well as internationally. All of their manufacturing is conducted under what they claim to be “supervision” carried out by their own “talented engineering team.” This team, by their account, aims to ensure that all of their components are manufactured in compliance with international and U.S. standards in product safety and quality control.

In short, Juuls are electronic cigarettes, which are a type of vaporizer designed to vaporize liquid nicotine. As such, it’s designed to heat the e-liquid contained within its pods to the point at which vaporization occurs, which takes place at lower temperatures than combustion.
