Yet another vape pen has reportedly exploded, this time in New London, Connecticut.
According to local firefighters, it’s the first time that an exploding vaping device incident has been reported in the city, local news outlet The Day reported.
The incident, which was reported to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, reportedly occurred on July 11, 2018 at the Mabrey Hotel rooming house located at 17 Park Street.
The exact model of vape pen was not unveiled by officials.
Nationwide, official government data shows an increase in year-to-year incidences of vape explosions.
